Hi, we’re André & Gemma and we make weekly YouTube videos about all things free-flight related - paragliding, groundhandling and even some paramotoring.

Our channel started out as a bit of a hobby for André - a personal log of all the things he likes to do and make - until the focus switched to paragliding and free-flight in 2017.

Gemma started to get involved ‘behind the scenes’ at first, but then we started making content together of our learning, exploring and adventures in paragliding.

In 2018, after years of living and working in the UK, we decided to change our lives by moving to Portugal to make our part-time paragliding hobby into our full-time job!

Now, as well as our YouTube channel, we host groundhandling retreats to help other pilots work on their kiting technique and we experiment with paragliding concepts & design, in the hope of contributing to the paragliding industry through “edutainment”.

AndrÉ

Started paragliding in 2014, after a stroll through the Peak District left him amazed by the ease and elegance of these everyday people floating over the hills - and on foldable, portable aircraft!

He signed up for a course the day after, and never looked back.

André had always dreamed of being in the sky, and had begun building & flying model aircraft from a young age.

After completing his degree in Mechanical Engineering at Sheffield University, and his Masters in Motorsports at Cranfield, André went on to start three businesses in Sheffield before relocating back to his native Portugal with Gemma.

Discovered paragliding in 2016, after a gentle nudge from André into a sport she’d never even considered.

What started off as a ‘just a taster session’ quickly progressed into gaining her full pilot’s license with which she experienced the awe & beauty of soaring over the Derbyshire hills.

She was working as a nurse in Sheffield for 9 years before she decided to try something completely new in Portugal, and what a learning curve it has been.

Four years and 100’s of hours of groundhandling later, and she’s still learning new things everyday.

our mission

Paragliding is our passion and being fortunate enough to work in the thing we enjoy most makes everyday a pleasure for us.

We’ve met some pretty incredible people along the way and we can honestly say that people in the flying community are some of the most generous, resourceful and interesting people we know.

We’d love to see air sports not only grow in size but grow closer together so that we can encourage a friendly exchange of knowledge & experiences and help the community of flight enthusiasts to thrive.

We’ve been inspired by so many other people over the years - not only pilots and flying fanatics, but by creatives, academics and adventurers on YouTube. We hope that all the positive lessons we’ve learnt are being be paid forward through our videos and our work so that we can encourage and inspire other people to aim high and learn by doing.
